Darren Randolph has revealed one thing that left David Moyes disappointed after he returned to West Ham in December 2019.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Republic of Ireland international said: ‘I came in just after the manager came in and one of his big things is the running and fitness and stats and distance covered and those kind of numbers.
‘He said he got here and said West Ham were in the bottom three or four in those kind of stats and that wasn’t simply good enough for him.’
Whatever the Scotsman has done since replacing Manuel Pellegrini seems to be doing the trick.
The former Manchester United boss has walked back into the London Stadium, kept the Hammers in the Premier League and has earned some excellent results so far this season.
West Ham currently sit 12th in the Premier League with 11 points to their name, which might not sound incredible to some.

However, context is needed. After a slow start, the east Londoners have actually lost just once in their last six Premier League outings, and even that was only a narrow 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Additionally, that six-game run hasn’t been a kind one, either.
West Ham have faced the likes of Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham and Manchester City in that time.

Moyes oversaw comprehensive wins against Nuno Espirito Santo and Brendan Rodgers, before claiming draws against Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.
The ex-Real Sociedad boss is doing a fine job at the London Stadium, and presumably, much of that is down to the increased effort levels he has implemented in regards to the squad’s running statistics.
