Arnautovic has left West Ham to join Austria in the international break.

West Ham United attacker Marko Arnautovic has told Salzburger Nachrichten that he may need a further injection to play for Austria during the international break, as his knee injury continues to wreak havoc.
The 29-year-old ace has been picked once again by Austria to represent his county in two important UEFA Nations League matches against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Thursday, before taking on Northern Ireland on Sunday.
A 75-time international with Austria, Arnautovic has shone for West Ham this season, scoring five goals in 10 Premier League games under Manuel Pellegrini. He is considered one of the club’s best players.
But the former Inter Milan, Stoke City and Werder Bremen striker continues to be dogged by his knee, which is a problem that he himself has admitted he will never recover from. Now, Arnautovic reckons he will need an injection.
“I can not say if I’ll get an injection on Thursday,” Arnautovic said. “In the knee, fluid accumulates again and again. Of course, there are people who say they should spare themselves and do nothing for a week, but it’s just difficult.”

Currently sitting in second in League B, Group 3 of the Nations League, Austria need two positive results over the next week to give themselves a chance of promotion – and indeed avoiding relegation.
West Ham fans will be praying that Arnautovic remains fit and comes through the international fixtures unscathed, ahead of what will be a hugely difficult test against Premier League champions Manchester City on November 24.
