Ogbonna has been linked with a move away from West Ham this month.

Angelo Ogbonna may have just hinted that he is about to leave West Ham United and return to Italy by posting a picture on his Instagram story, though the real reason remains unclear.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to his home country in this transfer window, with the Daily Mirror claiming (page 68, December 22) that Bologna had tabled an offer worth £9million for Ogbonna.

Ogbonna has also been linked with Spanish side Valencia, as he continues to be used as cover at centre-back by Manuel Pellegrini. Indeed, the Chilean has preferred Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop for the majority of the campaign.
Now, Italy international Ogbonna may have fuelled those rumours after the ex-Juventus defender posted a picture on Instagram from a plane with the caption “Italy, we come”.

Ogbonna has started the last four Premier League matches for West Ham, after Balbuena suffered a knee injury during the 2-0 loss to Watford. The summer signing has undergone surgery, and is expected to be out until March.
Losing Ogbonna at this stage would be an enormous blow for Pellegrini, but his Instagram story could suggest that the Hammers may be about to lose the defender. It remains to be seen why Ogbonna is travelling to Italy.
