West Ham United have made an enquiry into a potential January deal for Bayer Leverkusen forward Adam Hlozek.
Another Czech star is wanted at West Ham United with Bayer Leverkusen forward Adam Hlozek a key target.
That is according to 90min, who report that West Ham have already made a move for Hlozek ahead of the January transfer window.
The Hammers didn’t sign a replacement for Gianluca Scamacca this past summer and a new striker may become a priority.
Michail Antonio doesn’t appear to be the threat he once was whilst Danny Ings has yet to shine in a West Ham shirt.
West Ham United look towards Adam Hlozek
West Ham may now go for another striker and 90min suggest that a first move has already been made for Adam Hlozek.
It’s stated that West Ham wanted Hlozek before his move to Leverkusen and a new enquiry has now been launched.
Hlozek has played up front, behind a striker and even out wide, representing a versatile attacking threat.
Seven goals and six assists in his first season with Leverkusen was a decent return, but this season has been a struggle.
Hlozek has yet to start a single Bundesliga game this season and has been limited to 46 minutes of action across seven substitute appearances.
The 21-year-old may well be tempted to leave in search of first-team action elsewhere, with West Ham now seemingly interested.

There have been differing views inside West Ham about Hlozek
The Athletic noted in the summer of 2021 that West Ham boss David Moyes had asked Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek for a signing recommendation.
West Ham had achieved success in the Czech market with Coufal and Soucek, so Moyes looked into a similar move.
Soucek and Coufal were in agreement – Hlozek was the man for West Ham.
However, The Athletic reported in December 2021 that Moyes effectively vetoed the move by suggesting that Hlozek wouldn’t be able to take Michail Antonio’s place.
Moyes wasn’t as convinced as his players, but West Ham could finally sign the striker who has been branded ‘extraordinary’ by his own agent Jarsolav Silhavy.
