- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that West Ham United have made enquiries about signing free agent and former Tottenham ace Ryan Sessegnon.
Julen Lopetegui is looking to make his mark on the Hammers squad after replacing David Moyes in the London Stadium hotseat.
However, HITC understands that West Ham are not alone in their admiration of the 24-year-old.
HITC is also told that Rangers, Fulham, Leeds United, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Real Betis, Monza, Como and Atalanta are amongst the clubs to have also checked on Ryan Sessegnon.
Sessegnon is available as a free agent this summer after he was released by Tottenham at the end of the 2023-24 season.
He struggled to break into Ange Postecoglou‘s squad and has been out of the picture at North London since suffering a hamstring injury in November 2023.
Prior to his Tottenham spell, Sessegnon burst onto the scene for Fulham in 2016 and his incredible pace and sharpness saw him compared to former Tottenham star Gareth Bale, according to ESPN.

West Ham can give Ryan Sessegnon a second chance
Once hailed as one of the brightest talents in English football, Sessegnon has clearly struggled to live up to the lofty expectations placed on him.
But at 24, he is still young and could rediscover the sensational form he showed at Fulham.
West Ham often relied on Aaron Cresswell and Emerson Palmieri at left-back last season, but Lopetegui is clearly eager to upgrade that position as he looks to implement his own style of play.

The Hammers could also be left without the services of Ben Johnson which could leave their defensive department extremely thin ahead of the start of the new season.
HITC understands that West Ham have not given up hopes of a new contract for Ben Johnson with both Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town holding talks with the 24-year-old.
Sessegnon would bolster West Ham’s options across the back line and, as a free agent, he could turn out to be a bargain signing.
