West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen is wanted at Liverpool – and the winger has now admitted his admiration of Mohamed Salah.

Bowen is enjoying an outstanding season for West Ham even if he isn’t getting the national attention he deserves.

The 25-year-old has already racked up three goals and seven assists in 20 Premier League games this season.

Add in a further three goals and one assist from nine games in other competitions and Bowen is in fine form.

Many now believe that Bowen should be in line for an England call-up as he cements himself as a Premier League star.

The problem for West Ham is that Liverpool are believed to be keen on signing Bowen.

Eurosport claim that Liverpool see Bowen as the ‘perfect’ solution to their attacking conundrum, with another winger needed at Anfield.

West Ham surely won’t sell Bowen easily, and would be seeking a huge profit on the £20million they paid in January 2020.

Bowen may though have given Liverpool a glimmer of hope because of his love for Reds hero Mohamed Salah.

Bowen has told the London Evening Standard that he thinks Salah is the ‘perfect example’ of a modern wide man who contributes goals and assists regularly.

Bowen added that he wants to learn from Salah’s game, and if Liverpool get their way, they may end up playing together at Anfield in the future.

“I think Mo Salah is the perfect example,” said Bowen. “The goals he scores and assists he gets, the impact he has on games and consistently doing it every season since he joined Liverpool.”

“He is definitely one that I look at and I think he is one of the best players in the world at the moment. As a player you always want to look at people in a similar position to yours and learn from them,” he added.
