West Ham United have been listed as contenders to sign Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster this summer by one bookmaker.

Bookmaker Bet Victor has listed West Ham as the 5/1 third favourites to sign Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster during the summer transfer window.

The Hammers have arguably struggled with their keepers this past season with neither Darren Randolph or Adrian really stamping their authority on the number one position at the London Stadium.

The Daily Mirror suggested that Joe Hart is on their radar, but with the England stopper needing to take a weekly pay cut of at least £75,000 before a move can get across the line, it would hardly be a surprise if Slaven Bilic was considering alternative targets as he looks to bolster his options between the sticks.

One player who Bet Victor believe could appear on their radar is the Saints’ Fraser Forster, with the bookie listing the Irons as the 5/1 third favourites to bag the 29-year-old’s signature, with only Everton and Chelsea ahead of them in the market.

Forster has predominantly enjoyed a good spell with the Saints, making 86 top flight appearances across three seasons at St Mary’s.

However, his form this past campaign has perhaps fallen short of his previous standards, and that may prove a concern for West Ham fans if the betting market is a sign of things to come and he ultimately does come onto their radar, especially given the struggles that his former Southampton teammate Jose Fonte has endured since making the switch.
