West Ham United and Liverpool have both been linked with Maxi Gomez.

Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez has told Marca that he is ‘very calm’ despite reading social media rumours about a move to Liverpool.
Gomez, 22, has impressed for Celta since arriving from Defensor Sporting in his native Uruguay in 2017, smashing 17 goals in his first season.
This term, Gomez has notched 13 goals and five assists in a struggling Celta side, and added to his tally last night with a goal against Barcelona.
A burly, powerful striker who could suit the Premier League perfectly, Gomez has unsurprisingly attracted interest from a number of clubs.
The London Evening Standard report that West Ham United wanted to sign Gomez for £43.5million in January, but shelved the deal until the summer after Marko Arnautovic stayed at the London Stadium.
Now, other clubs are taking notice. The Daily Mail note that Gomez is on Tottenham’s radar, whilst The Sun report that Liverpool are interested in the striker too.

Gomez spoke about his future last night, admitting that he reads rumours on social media about joining Barcelona or Liverpool – seemingly missing out West Ham – whilst adding that he feels very calm and very comfortable at Celta right now.
“There are many comments through social networks, what if I sign for Barcelona, if I go to Liverpool…I am very calm and in Vigo I feel very comfortable,” said Gomez.
