West Ham United reportedly want Christian Luyindama.
Paris Saint-Germain claimed a narrow win on Tuesday night, beating Galatasaray 1-0 in Turkey thanks to Mauro Icardi’s second half goal.
PSG headed over to Istanbul in search of three points, having already made a great start to their Champions League campaign by beating Real Madrid last month.
They claimed the narrow win, as Pablo Sarabia set up Icardi for his first PSG goal, but they couldn’t extend their lead to anything more comfortable.
Galatasaray battled away valiantly, and one of the keys to keeping PSG down to just one goal was defender Christian Luyindama.
The DR Congo international, 25, joined Galatasaray on loan from Standard Liege in January, before making his move permanent having impressed in Turkey.
A powerful 6ft 3in centre back, Luyindama is impressing for Galatasaray, and Fotosport claim that West Ham United scouted him in action against Fenerbahce this past weekend ahead of a possible move.
If West Ham were watching last night, they may well have been impressed with what they saw from Luyindama, with the defender hailed on Twitter.
Some praised him for nullifying both Angel Di Maria and Neymar, with others calling him a ‘monster’ and a ‘tank’ for such a dominant displays, whilst others simply said ‘wow’ and suggested West Ham should have got him earlier, as his value has now increased after starring against PSG.
