West Ham United have already made three signings this summer with the promise of more to come.
While Newcastle face an uncertain summer under Mike Ashley in the transfer market, West Ham co-owner David Gold pledged he and fellow co-owner David Sullivan will back new boss Manuel Pellegrini with unprecedented spending, as reported by talkSPORT.
And the signs have been good so far for West Ham with Ryan Fredericks arriving on a superb free transfer from Fulham, brilliant young French centre back Issa Diop arriving from Toulouse for a club record fee of over £22 million and Lukas Fabianski snapped up from relegated Swansea City for £7 million.

Rafa Benitez knows he must add some much-needed quality to his Newcastle squad to compete after punching well above their weight last term.
The Hammers have been linked with a host of stars including the likes of Alfie Mawson, Marlon Santos, Rafinha, Mario Gotze and Felipe Anderson.
And now reports in Italy from CalcioNapoli24 are linking the Hammers with a keen interest in Napoli striker Roberto Inglese, which could actually be good news for Newcastle.
Inglese, whose name translates as Robert English, is the archetypal target man and stands at 6ft2 and renowned for his aerial ability with 57 goals in 259 career games so far.
It comes with the future of injury-prone target man and Magpies target Andy Carroll in doubt as Pellegrini ushers in a new era and style of football in East London.
Carroll has been linked with a return to boyhood club Newcastle, as reported by the likes of Chronicle Live.
The Chilean will meet with new director of football Mario Husillos and West Ham’s owners for the first time together on Monday as the club thrashes out its final plans for incomings and outgoings this summer.
And Newcastle-born Carroll is expected to be the biggest name with a question mark above his head.

The report also cites his aerial prowess as an ideal attribute to thrive in the Premier League.
The centre-forward was bought from Chievo last summer for £8 million, but stayed at the Stadio Bentegodi on loan, scoring 12 goals in 34 Serie A appearances.
Now that Carlo Ancelotti has replaced Maurizio Sarri as Napoli boss, Inglese is believed to be surplus to requirements.
With just 33 goals in six years the Hammers will surely be open to selling Carroll and Newcastle could bring him back to St James’ Park for a knockdown fee.
