West Ham want Junior Adamu as they join Southampton in the race to sign the exciting Red Bull Salzburg striker this summer.
West Ham will be looking for major reinforcements this summer after a strong season that felt a little flat by the end.
David Moyes continues to shine as West Ham boss but missing out on the top six and being knocked out in the Europa League semi-finals were big blows.
This was still a positive season under Moyes but West Ham still need a number of new signings to keep moving forward.
Another striker is an absolute must and West Ham are now believed to be looking at Red Bull Salzburg star Adamu.
West Ham want Junior Adamu
Michail Antonio remains without support in the West Ham attack. Sebastien Haller still hasn’t been replaced 18 months since leaving.
A number of strikers have been linked with West Ham and could be signed to challenge Antonio moving forward.
The Daily Mail now claim that West Ham are closely monitoring Salzburg hitman Adamu.
It’s stated that Southampton are keen too, as are Ajax, Red Bull Leipzig and Hertha Berlin.
Adamu is allegedly valued at around £12million and West Ham could swoop in to sign him.

The 20-year-old attacker can play up front or out wide, operating across Salzburg’s front line.
With nine goals and five assists in 43 games this season, Adamu has really emerged as a first-team threat for the Austrian champions.
The Austria youth international would be one for the future but able to make an immediate impact too.
Salzburg have produced some outstanding strikers in recent times, including Takumi Minamino, Patson Daka, Hwang Hee-chan and, most notably, Erling Haaland.
Adamu could follow in their footsteps in the years to come and West Ham will hope that his future lies with them as they eye a summer deal.
