Ex-West Ham icon Jack Collison has been blown away by the passionate way in which Pablo Fornals celebrates – regardless of whether he’s scored the goal or not.

After a clip showing many gesticulated celebrations from the Spaniard was brought to his attention, Collison tweeted: ‘This is unreal. The joy on his face is why we all fell in love with the game. He’s on top form at the moment too.’

The former Villarreal man – who cost the Hammers £24 million – has been in great form of late, as Collison alludes to.

Fornals scored a tremendous goal in the recent 3-0 win over Leicester, plucking the ball out of the sky without breaking stride before slotting beyond Kasper Schmeichel.

In that same game, he also cut the Foxes’ backline apart with a brilliant reverse through-ball, which allowed Jarrod Bowen to curl home.

Before that impressive win, the playmaker was also in the spotlight after a bit of quick thinking allowed Bowen to open the scoring in the 4-0 win over Wolves.

It was Fornals’ quickly-taken freekick which set the ex-Hull forward through on goal.

Despite these heroics, Collison – as well as fans involved in the Twitter thread – have singled out his passionate reactions to the team’s goals as a praiseworthy feature of his game.

No matter who you support, it does bring a smile to your face when you see the Spaniard get so excited about a goal.

It is what makes football special, and sadly, not all players can feel that way about their club sometimes.
