West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon is reportedly on the radar of West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Rondon is available for £16 million due to a relegation release clause in his contract at West Brom, who will play in the Championship next season after going down from the Premier League at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
It has also been reported that the Hammers have made enquiries on the availability of the 28-year-old Venezuela striker, who scored seven goals and provided three assists in 32 Premier League starts for the Baggies this past season.

Competition
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are keeping tabs on Rondon, while Cardiff City, who have won promotion to the Championship from the Premier League, are also reported to be interested in the West Brom striker.

Manuel Pellegrini link
According to BBC Sport, West Ham are set to appoint former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager.
Pellegrini worked with Rondon at Malaga, as reported by The Mirror, and the Chilean could get the best out of the former Zenit Saint Petersburg striker.
Uninspiring signing?
Playing for a Tony Pulis team as a striker is not easy, and while one can understand why Rondon – who earns £60,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com – has not been prolific for West Brom in the Premier League, if West Ham are aiming to finish in the top 10 or break into the top six in the coming years, then they need a striker better than him.
