West Ham United could sign Club Brugge star Hans Vanaken in January – and his form at the moment is hugely impressive.
A tall and physical midfielder with a real goal threat, you can understand why West Ham want Vanaken.
Tomas Soucek fit a somewhat similar bill and has absolutely thrived under David Moyes in East London.
Vanaken has hit double figures in goals in each season since joining from Lokeren back in 2015.
In fact, in Vanaken’s last three seasons, his goal tally stands at a huge 50 goals. For a midfielder, that is simply outrageous.
Voetbal24 claim that West Ham are a serious candidate to sign Vanaken in January, having been rejected by the Belgian in the summer of 2020.
West Ham target Vanaken in great form
West Ham are surely monitoring Vanaken very closely, and they have to be impressed right now.

Vanaken was in fine form against OH Leuven last week, picking up three assists in one game.
Vanaken set up Noa Lang’s opener as well as both goals in a brace for Charles De Ketelaere.
The 29-year-old was then vital against Anderlecht on Sunday, bagging a late equaliser. Vanaken ghosted into the box to plant a fine header into the net – just like Soucek.
Three assists and a goal in the space of a few days, Vanaken is showing exactly why West Ham want him.
