West Ham United’s London Stadium will be increased to a capacity of 60,000.

West Ham ace Declan Rice spoke exclusively to the club’s official website after hearing the news that the capacity at the London Stadium will be increased to 60,000, and admitted that he and his teammates are lucky to have such magnificent support.
The Hammers have made a poor start to their Premier League campaign, and currently sit in 14th spot in the table, having taken just 12 points from their opening 13 league outings.
West Ham continue to struggle at the London Stadium, and a lot of Hammers fans still yearn for the days when they played their football at Upton Park.
The east London outfit’s Stratford home is due to be increased to a capacity of 60,000, and Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping that the atmosphere is improved as a result.
Rice spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and offered high words of praise for the West Ham fanbase:

“It is fantastic news that the London Stadium capacity is increasing to 60,000 – it can only be a good thing to have more West Ham supporters cheering us on. There is no better feeling than hearing our fans celebrate a goal or a victory. The noise when we beat Manchester United recently was like nothing I have heard before. We are lucky to have such magnificent support and everyone is determined to repay them with success on the pitch.”
Rice’s current contract with West Ham expires in the summer of 2019, so his comments on the club’s supporters will be music to Hammers fans’ ears.
West Ham must do everything within their power to keep the 19-year-old at the club, because if they don’t, they will be sending out a message of real weakness to the rest of the division.
