Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian has sent an Instagram message to West Ham ahead of their League Cup tie against Everton tonight.

The last time West Ham faced the Toffees in a cup competition was in the FA Cup in 2015 when Adrian scored the winning penalty in a thrilling shoot-out finish.

And now the Spanish keeper has written on his Instagram story ‘I hope it ends the same!!’ as he was responding to the club’s post about him.

The Hammers are in need of a lift because things aren’t exactly rosy in the transfer garden and fans have been pretty vocal in speaking against the owners.

But a cup run would do those in East London the world of good, especially manager David Moyes, who is coming up against his former club.

Everton have won all of their games so far this season and this won’t be an easy challenge for a West Ham side that put four goals past Wolves last time out.

Either way, it seems Adrian will be a watching admirer and hoping that his former club can pull off a win against his now Merseyside rivals.

Adrian himself will be action tomorrow night when his Liverpool side face off against Arsenal.
