West Ham face Everton on Wednesday night in the Premier League.
West Ham United fans are desperate to see their side show a bit more attacking tenacity in the final third against Everton on Wednesday night at Goodison Park – and fans have urged David Moyes to start Diafra Sakho.
The 27-year-old has featured as a substitute in West Ham’s last two matches under David Moyes, with the former Manchester United manager opting to start target man Andy Carroll.
However, Carroll is yet to find the back of the net this season in nine outings, and could prove ineffectual against Everton’s powerful centre-backs such as Phil Jagielka, Michael Keane and Ashley Williams.
If Moyes shares that belief then he should look to start a striker with a bit more pace and that could see him turn his attention to Senegal international Sakho, despite recently stating his desire to leave the London Stadium.
In quotes published by the Daily Mail, former Metz striker Sakho claimed he wanted to leave the club, with the speed machine’s contract at West Ham set to expire at the end of the season.
Nevertheless, West Ham fans have called on Moyes to start their number 15, with one fan stating that Sakho needs a chance to “earn redemption” from the Hammers faithful.
