West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic is a man on borrowed time and many supporters want Watford boss Marco Silva to replace him.
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League table after just two wins from their first eight games while Watford are sitting pretty in fourth.
That is despite Bilic bringing in the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart and Javier Hernandez to add to Winston Reid, Aaron Cresswell, Cheikhou Kouyate, Pedro Obiang, Michail Antonio, Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini.
Bilic’s decisions both tactically and in the transfer market have angered supporters.
Fans have questioned why over £65m has been spent on Hernandez, Arnautovic and Andre Ayew with no apparent plan to fit them into a coherent team.
And the fact the team has continued the poor form which blighted last season has seen calls for change.
The man many supporters want to see replace the Croatian is Watford boss Marco Silva. Social media and fans forums have seen Silva’s name at the top of most lists and polls.
The Portuguese almost pulled off mission impossible at Hull City last season and was brought in by the Hornets over the summer.
He has continued his superb work at Vicarage Road and has Watford looking well worth their fourth place so far with dreams of European football.
And supporters like the fact Silva has proved he is not scared to drop players no matter their standing and status at the club by consigning the likes of Troy Deeney to a bench role.
But more than that the Glory Orns – who have only lost once so far – are playing with style and guts.
West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold have refused to give Bilic a new deal with his current contract expiring at the end of the season.
Whether they move before then for a replacement or not, would Silva be interested in the Hammers post given the fact Watford have outspent the East Londoners over the last two seasons since the club’s big move to the London Stadium.
