West Ham United have announced that the club’s season ticket renewals are now open for the 2019-20 season, but the news hasn’t gone down all that well with some sections of the club’s fanbase.

The Hammers fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Premier League strugglers Cardiff City last time out, and some supporters aren’t pleased with such news being announced after a humbling loss.

Certain other elements of the announcement were also criticised by some of the Hammers faithful, such as the price and the deadline for applications being on 17 May, before the end of the season.

West Ham’s statement, published on their website, featured quotes by club captain Mark Noble, who deemed the future bright at the London Stadium under Manuel Pellegrini.

However, reaction to the Twitter post / video was met with some disapproval, one fan even suggesting he wouldn’t be renewing after 33 years of being a ST holder:

West Ham are currently ninth in the Premier League table but have lost 13 out of their 30 games so far, while also having been knocked out of the FA Cup at the hands of League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon.

Up next for Manuel Pellegrini’s side is a fixture against another league struggler, Huddersfield Town, at the London Stadium.
