The Hammers right-back was impressive in the side’s final Premier League home game of the season against a poor Saints side at the London Stadium.

West Ham United have run out 3-0 winners over Southampton in their final Premier League home game of the 2018-19 season.
The Hammers took the lead in the 16th minute at the London Stadium when Mark Noble pounced on Yan Valery’s error to set up Marko Arnautovic, who duly slotted under Fraser Forster.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side continued to press but had to wait until midway through the second half – during which time the Saints had upped their game – to grab a second, after which the third was not long coming.
On 69 minutes, a cross from the left was intercepted by Forster but the out-of-favour goalkeeper managed to punch the ball towards Arnautovic’s head, and the Austrian simply had to nod home for his second.
Three minutes later, defender Ryan Fredericks scored his first Premier League goal of the campaign as he controlled the ball in the box and rifled past Forster to leave Ralph Hasenhuttl’s charges on the receiving end of a heavy loss.
After the game, some West Ham fans took to Twitter to comment on Fredericks’s impressive performance:
Fredericks, valued at £3.6million by Transfermarkt, has endured a difficult campaign amid injury issues and loss of form but he seems to be ending it on a high note.
The victory took Pellegrini’s charges to within a point of the top half of the table ahead of next weekend’s season finale at Watford.
