The Hammers will take on the Welsh side at Rodney Parade in the week beginning 26 August.

A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Carabao Cup second-round draw, which has put the Hammers up against Newport County at Rodney Parade.
The Exiles overcame League One Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium in an eventful 2-2 draw which saw four penalties – two in the 90th minute and beyond – and then a spot kick shootout to settle the tie.
Manuel Pellegrini’s charges will visit the League Two outfit’s Rodney Parade ground in the week beginning Monday 26 August as they seek to improve on last season’s run to the last 16 of the competition.
West Ham fans will also be hoping their club can exorcise the demons of their last cup encounter, a humbling 4-2 defeat away at AFC Wimbledon, then bottom of League One, in a game Pellegrini admitted was a “disaster” (BBC Sport).
Quite a few Hammers faithful appeared nervous about the tie as they gave their thoughts on social media:
West Ham and Newport have played each other three times in their history, each winning once and drawing the other fixture, with the last meeting taking place 40 years ago, back in 1979 (official Hammers website).
