The Hammers goalkeeper will spend the 2019-20 season on loan at League One side AFC Wimbledon.
Some West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to give their opinion on the club announcing Nathan Trott’s departure to AFC Wimbledon on a season long loan.
As reported by the Hammers official website, the 20-year-old will be working with former Irons coach Wally Downes at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, where he will hope to make his senior debut and gain first team experience.
Trott, who was in the England squad that won the European Under-19 Championship in 2017, recently signed a new three-year contract with West Ham, who he joined after a trial in January 2016.
As stated by West Ham, he is considered one of the country’s brightest goalkeeping prospects and is in the Premier League club’s long-term plans, though with Roberto and David Martin now on board as Lukasz Fabianski’s back-ups, Trott is currently low down in the pecking order.

As reported by Football London, Trott’s temporary exit leaves Joseph Anang as the Hammers Under-23s keeper for the season, while the club also signed 16-year-old Hungarian stopper Krisztian Hegyi earlier this summer to join their academy.
