The Hammers goalkeeper’s comments were lauded by the fanbase, some of whom are already calling him their Hammer of the Year.

West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has spoken about how he feels he can yet improve in his position, insisting his age doesn’t matter and that goalkeepers never stop learning.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed a bright debut season at the London Stadium following his summer switch from Swansea City, starting all 32 Premier League games for the Hammers this term, according to Transfermarkt.
Fabianski’s career so far in the game has been fruitful, the custodian turning out in the top flight for Arsenal and Swansea as well as the Hammers, plus a Polish Ekstraklasa medal with Legia Warsaw and 48 appearances for Poland (Transfermarkt), and he is not looking to slow down any time soon.
The Polish stopper, who turns 34 this month, told the official West Ham website that he is aiming to push himself for as long as he can and for as long as he feels he can continue improving.

When asked about his aims, Fabianski replied: “Listen, I think there is a feeling you get when you go out every day on the pitch that you want to work and improve, and I will play for as long as I have this feeling.
“It’s not about having big, massive targets. I just have this feeling that I have still have room to improve and become a better keeper and my age doesn’t matter. I will push myself for as long as I can and for as long as I have this feeling. That’s more or less how I feel and if success comes with that, then so be it.”
Fabianski’s comments, as well as his impressive performances for West Ham, were music to the ears of the Hammers faithful, and some fans took to Twitter to have their say:
