Grady Diangana of West Ham United receives his Premier League Debut Football at Rush Green on October 11, 2018 in Romford, England.

A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Grady Diangana has joined West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan (official Baggies website).

The 21-year-old signed his first professional contract with the Hammers in 2016 when Slaven Bilic – now West Brom manager – was in charge at the Premier League club.

Diangana enjoyed his breakthrough campaign at West Ham last season, scoring twice on his senior debut in an 8-0 Carabao Cup win over Macclesfield Town on 26 September last year (official West Ham website).

Three days later, the winger and attacking ace made his top-flight debut, appearing as a substitute in the 3-1 home win against Manchester United, and has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

At the start of the year, Diangana’s status as a long-term prospect at West Ham was sealed when he signed a contract until the summer of 2025, and he will now seek to get experience with West Brom in their quest for promotion from the Championship.

Here is what some Hammers fans on social media made of the youngster’s temporary switch to The Hawthorns:

Diangana is Albion’s sixth signing of the summer window following the acquisitions of Filip Krovinovic, Kenneth Zohore, Semi Ajayi, Darnell Furlong and Romaine Sawyers.
