The Hammers summer signing has impressed for the Premier League club in his debut London Stadium season.
West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has been crowned the Hammer of the Year at Wednesday night’s club awards ceremony.
The 34-year-old has enjoyed an incredible debut season at the London Stadium following his summer switch from Swansea City, starting all 37 Premier League games for the Hammers this term so far, according to Transfermarkt.
As reported by the official West Ham website, no goalkeeper in the English top flight has made more saves than Fabianski this term, and by lifting the prize he becomes just the fifth stopper to be named Hammer of the Year.
In addition to the HOTY award, the Poland international also picked up the Signing of the Season award and the Save of the Season award for his superb stop against Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini in September.
“I’m very happy obviously, and very grateful for all the fans who voted for me,” Fabianski told the Hammers media team.
“It’s something special, especially in my first season here, so I really appreciate all the support. I’m just happy that I’ve been able to perform in the way that they can see me as a good goalkeeper.”
