The Hammers legend posted a photo of himself alongside Declan Rice, Sir Trevor Brooking and Alvin Martin outside Chadwell Heath.
Premier League club West Ham United have officially opened their new £4million academy facility at their training ground in Chadwell Heath.
A number of previous academy graduates including Sir Trevor Brooking, Alvin Martin and Tony Cottee were at the unveiling on Tuesday.
Current stars Declan Rice, Grady Diangana and club captain Mark Noble were also there, as were current academy coaches Steve Potts, Jack Collison and Paul Konchesky, all of whom started out as schoolboy and youth players at Chadwell Heath.
West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold, vice-chairman Karren Brady, academy director Terry Westley and manager Manuel Pellegrini were also present as the Hammers led guests through the new facilities.
In a statement, the club said that the redevelopment at Chadwell Heath is part of a significant investment at West Ham, which has included a minimum £10million investment in the training facilities in addition to the £100m spent on improving the first-team squad last summer.
Cottee, who netted 146 goals for the Hammers over two spells in the 1980s and 1990s (official West Ham website), shared two posts on his Twitter feed relating to his visit of the facility:
