West Ham United could turn their attention to Everton winger Demarai Gray after missing out on Carlos Borges.
Demarai Gray haș been discussed inside West Ham United as they look to move on from Carlos Borges, who is now heading for Ajax.
That is according to Daily Express reporter Ryan Taylor, who claims that fans should ‘keep an eye’ on Gray for a potential West Ham move.
West Ham thought they had a deal done for Carlos Borges having identified the Manchester City talent as a key target.
However, West Ham have now been hijacked with Ajax securing a £17million deal – £3million more than the deal West Ham offered.
The Portuguese winger is now heading for Amsterdam with West Ham’s uncertain transfer window taking another turn.
David Moyes is still keen to bring in a new winger though and it’s believed that Gray is now one target.
Fulham are also keen on Gray but Taylor claims no deal has been agreed between the two clubs just yet, giving West Ham hope of a deal.

Demarai Gray would be disappointing signing for West Ham United
We can understand the excitement around Borges, a young and speedy winger who racked up goals and assists for fun in City’s development squad last season.
Missing out on him stings, even if he is of course an unknown quantity at Premier League level.
Moyes remains in the hunt for a new winger but going from Borges to Gray would feel a little disappointing.
Gray promised so much at Birmingham City but was never really able to become a key player at Leicester City.

The 27-year-old managed just 13 goals and 17 assists in 169 games for Leicester before moving on to Bayer Leverkusen.
Gray’s numbers at Everton are maybe a touch better, notching 12 goals and six assists in 75 appearances for the Toffees.
The Jamaican international just hasn’t been able to consistently make an impact in the Premier League and it’s hard to see him changing that in a West Ham shirt.
Gray may well be cheaper than Borges but West Ham fans won’t be excited by this move, no doubt hoping that the club come up with a more appealing target.
