West Ham United salvaged a point against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening, drawing 1-1 at the London Stadium.

The Hammers fell behind in the first half, as Joel Ward crossed for Christian Benteke to head home a fine opener.

However, Sebastien Haller slammed in a stunning overhead kick from a Vladimir Coufal cross to give David Moyes a share of the spoils.

West Ham weren’t really at their best, but at least they didn’t lose – and it’s now just two defeats in the last 11 Premier League games.

Coufal was the star of the show, turning in a committed display from right back whilst also supplying the assist for Haller’s key equaliser.

West Ham have enjoyed great success with the Czech market, first landing star midfielder Tomas Soucek before then signing Coufal.

The Hammers paid just £5million to sign Coufal from Slavia Prague in October, and he has quickly become a fan favourite at the London Stadium.

Supporters took to Twitter to rave about Coufal’s display against Palace, suggesting that he was ‘brilliant’ and ‘honestly amazing’.

Others hailed West Ham for landing a bargain for such an ‘irreplaceable’ player for just £5million, with Coufal already a key player for Moyes.
