West Ham United moved another step closer to European qualification on Monday night as they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 at Molineux.
The Hammers were dealt a blow as Declan Rice missed the game through injury, but Jesse Lingard gave fans something to shout about with a stunning solo goal to open the scoring.
Arthur Masuaku then set up Pablo Fornals to make it 2-0, and Jarrod Bowen smashed home a Lingard pass to give West Ham a remarkable 3-0 lead.
Wolves came back though; Leander Dendoncker headed home an Adama Traore cross following a sensational run from the Spaniard, and Fabio Silva set up a tense finale by firing home Pedro Neto’s pass.
Having squandered a 3-0 lead against Arsenal last month, West Ham fans will have feared the worst – but this time, they held on for the win and claimed all three points.
With Rice missing, this was a big night for Mark Noble as he came into the side with Tomas Soucek, making just his fifth Premier League start of the season.

Some have felt that Noble is finished in the Premier League, but he turned in a huge performance against Wolves – and received the praise he deserved on Twitter.
Many admitted that they’ve been proven wrong by Noble, who proved that he is ‘still class’ with a superb performance at Molineux, hailing their skipper for being the heartbeat of the side once again.
