The West Ham United ace has arguably been the club’s best player this season.
Declan Rice signed a new long-term deal with West Ham, one that runs until the summer of 2024, with an option of an extra year, and Hammers fans were understandably delighted with the news.
The 19-year-old has been quite simply brilliant for West Ham this season, and he has made the defensive midfield position his very own.
Chelsea must be kicking themselves for allowing Rice to leave when he was just 14-years-old.
The teenager seems to have all of the ingredients needed to go on and become a real star in the game, and if he continues to progress, West Ham will have a seriously good player on their hands.
The Hammers have won five of their six games in December, and Rice has been pivotal to their resurgence.
And now that he has committed his long-term future to the club, the only way will be up for the Hammers during the second half of the campaign.
