West Ham United signed Jack Wilshere on Monday.

West Ham United wrapped up the signing of Jack Wilshere on Monday.
The former Arsenal midfielder joins the Hammers on a three-year deal after being released by the Gunners earlier this summer.
In doing so, the 26-year-old becomes West Ham’s fifth signing of what has been an excellent summer on the transfer front for the East London club.
Co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan were the subjects of fan protests toward the end of last season, but some supporters of the Irons have put the past to one side and thanked Gold for his contribution to a superb transfer window so far.
To be fair, Gold and Sullivan, who have also appointed Premier League-winning manager Manuel Pellegrini, are winning over fans at an alarming rate.
The duo have also managed to break the club’s transfer record after Issa Diop signed for £22 million and, with Fabian Balbuena and Andriy Yarmolenko rumoured to be closing in on moves too, perhaps it’s time for more West Ham fans to acknowledge that their owners are trying to make amends.
