The 72-year-old is a club legend at West Ham United.

West Ham are set to name their east stand after club legend Billy Bonds, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.
Bonds was one of West Ham’s most popular figures, arguably the most, and his legend continues on to this very day.
Now 72, Bonds made 663 league appearances for the Hammers, and his leadership skills proved to be crucial to his club, as he captained them to two FA Cup wins in 1975 and 1980 respectively.
West Ham have struggled somewhat since moving into the London Stadium at the start of the 2016/17 campaign, but perhaps naming the east stand after Bonds will make it feel more like home.

Bonds was a die-hard central midfielder, and what the Hammers wouldn’t give to have someone like him at the club now.
It is about time that he has been rewarded for his great service to the football club with some kind of recognition, and some West Ham fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news that the east stand will be named after one of their heroes…
