Jeff King of Bolton Wanderers tackles Sead Haksabanovic of West Ham United during the Carabao Cup Third Round match
West Ham continued their resurgence following the international break with an emphatic 3-0 win over Bolton at the London Stadium in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Slaven Bilic made 10 changes for the visit of the Trotters, but goals from Angelo Ogbonna, Diafra Sakho and a contender for goal of the round from Arthur Masuaku during the final minutes saw the Hammers stroll into the fourth round at the expense of the Championship’s bottom side.

One player who impressed the supporters with his display was summer signing Sead Haksabanovic, who was making his first-team debut following his move from Halmstads during the recent window.
Though the 18-year-old did not get on the scoresheet, the fans were pleased with what they saw from the teenager as he looked lively and appears to possess plenty of quality already when he has the ball at his feet.

Haksabanovic’s display was especially encouraging given that it came just after it was announced that Manuel Lanzini will miss the next month due to a setback as he recovered from a knee injury – as reported by the Daily Mail.
That has led some to even ask Bilic to throw the Montenegro international in for this weekend’s Premier League clash with Tottenham – which is undoubtedly a major vote of confidence.
Here is the best of the reaction…
