Some West Ham United fans on Twitter aren’t happy with Ryan Fredericks.

West Ham lost 1-0 to Wolves at the London Stadium on Saturday, with Adama Traore netting a last-minute winner for the visitors.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Irons in June, started ahead of Pablo Zabaleta at right-back for his third Premier League start of the season.

But the former Fulham star didn’t look all that convincing going forward or in defence, enduring two fairly disappointing halves of football overall.

And here’s how fans of the East London club reacted to his performance yesterday:

Fredericks was an excellent signing by West Ham and, in time, he will prove as much.

This is his first ever season in the Premier League and he won’t adjust to the demands of playing top-flight football overnight.

It’s a gradual process and slowly but surely he will get there. Question is, can West Ham afford to have a weak link until then? Probably not, when someone of Zabaleta’s experience is available.
