West Ham United endured a hugely disappointing afternoon at the weekend, and Robert Snodgrass came in for a lot of criticism.

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Robert Snodgrass’ display during the club’s defeat to Cardiff City at the weekend.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men would have been favourites to secure another win heading into their clash with the Bluebirds. Their only defeat in their last five was a spirited 1-0 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, while they had beaten Fulham and Newcastle and drawn with Liverpool during that run.
But the Irons were beaten 2-0 by Neil Warnock’s men, with the goals coming either side of the break at the Cardiff City Stadium. It was the kind of performance that West Ham fans had hoped that they had put behind them under Pellegrini.
And Snodgrass was one of those who seemed to come in for the most criticism on social media – though it must be mentioned that Pellegrini taking off Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini rather than the Scot has seen the boss’s judgement also questioned.

The 31-year-old offered little throughout the game, particularly during the second-half, and plenty of supporters have asked for the midfielder to be dropped for Saturday’s home game against Huddersfield.
Snodgrass has enjoyed a brilliant campaign under Pellegrini, but some of the fans seem to believe that his display against Cardiff highlights why he is one player that the club will soon need to think about replacing.
