A report has suggested that David Moyes is unlikely to be West Ham United boss next season.
West Ham fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports coming out of the Telegraph on Monday which suggested that David Moyes is unlikely to still be in charge of the Irons beyond the end of this season.
Moyes has enjoyed an encouraging spell since being given a six-month contract in the wake of Slaven Bilic’s departure at the London Stadium earlier in the campaign.
Moyes was an unpopular appointment when he arrived, but he has won many of his critics over by overseeing four victories – most notably, beating Chelsea 1-0 in December – and helping West Ham move themselves away from the bottom three. The transformation that he has overseen in Marko Arnautovic has also earned him a lot of plaudits.
Interestingly considering the reaction Moyes’ appointment got, news that he may be heading for the exit at the end of his current contract has seen the 54-year-old receive a lot of sympathy from the West Ham fans.
Some believe that Moyes’ desire to seek a fresh challenge is an indication of how difficult it must be to work with the current hierarchy – the Telegraph reports that there have been some differences in opinion regarding transfers over the last month – and that he has done well during his time in charge.
Meanwhile, some of the other supporters have thrown some other names out as it appears that the likes of Silva and Wagner would not be the most popular appointments.
