West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Cristian Pavon, who is an international teammate of Manuel Lanzini.

Manuel Pellegrini has already overseen one signing since taking over at the London Stadium, with Ryan Fredericks set to arrive when his Fulham contract expires. And he appears to have his eye on a marquee name for his second acquisition.

TEAMtalk adds that Boca Juniors would prefer to only consider selling the 22-year-old after the World Cup in the hope that his performances in Russia may drive his value up, but West Ham are hoping that Lanzini may be able to help tempt him towards the Irons during the coming months.

The news of West Ham’s interest has gone down extremely well amongst the Hammers fans on social media. Many feel that Pavon is an extremely exciting talent and would be a fantastic signing for the club – even if a couple of supporters have only heard of him due to Football Manager.
Pavon is a highly-rated attacker and the fans believe that signing him would be a stunning statement regarding the direction that the club hope to go in under Pellegrini.
