The West Ham United midfielder really struggled on Saturday.

West Ham United fans haven’t reacted well to Pedro Obiang’s latest performance.

The Spanish midfielder started West Ham’s 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town on Saturday, but Manuel Pellegrini hauled him off after 64 minutes for Michail Antonio.

Obiang, who earns £55,000 per week in East London [Spotrac], struggled in a major way alongside Robert Snodgrass in midfield.

In fact, the Irons improved as a team when the former Sampdoria star came off, with Felipe Anderson netting a 74th-minute equaliser for West Ham.

And here’s how some United fans reacted to Obiang’s display:

If you told West Ham fans in the summer that Snodgrass and Obiang would be their midfield pairing even once this season then they wouldn’t have been happy.

Obiang had a difficult 2017-18 season, as did many Hammers stars, while Snodgrass was on loan at Aston Villa.

Jack Wilshere remains absent with an ankle injury and although he hardly looked the part when he was fit, he’s a much better option than the two of them.
