West Ham United lost their latest league match against Tottenham Hotspur.

While West Ham United lost 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, some of the Hammers’ players could leave the field with their heads held relatively high.
A late fightback, with the always willing Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate scoring for the hosts – meant West Ham made their visitors fight for the full 90 minutes.

In the end it was not enough, with Slaven Bilic’s side losing yet again, but there are still reasons to be positive.
Given some of the bigger name players to arrive at the London Stadium in the summer, it would be easy to push free signing Pablo Zabaleta down the list of impressive additions. However the Argentine was a class act against Tottenham and he did his best to inspire a late rally that ultimately fell short.

The new addition has played every minute of West Ham’s Premier League campaign to date and his experience and quality will be vital as they bid to turn their early-season form around sooner rather than later.
West Ham were crying out for a quality right-back last year and they finally have that; now the rest of the Hammers’ squad need to take a leave out of the defender’s book and play to their full potential.
