The West Ham United winger was not at his best against Swansea City.

West Ham United winger Michail Antonio was one of the club’s few bright sparks last season. But this time around he has struggled to make his mark and is yet to score or assist in six appearances, leaving the Hammers overly reliant on other attackers as a result.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has come in for plenty of criticism this season but it is also up to his players to perform to their full potential; something that has not happened anywhere near as often as it should.

Antonio was again off the pace as the Hammers left it late to win 1-0 against Swansea City, with substitutes Arthur Masuaku and Diafra Sakho combining for the late winner.
At his best, Antonio is one of the top flight’s most exciting and effective wingers, as his 18 goals and 10 assists for the Hammers prove. Yet it seems the malaise that has impacted so many of the club’s stars this season is even getting to the best of them.

If the former Nottingham Forest player can turn things round, he can still make a significant mark on West Ham’s season. However, something needs to change, and quickly.
