The Uruguay striker has decided to join West Ham United, according to a report.

Maxi Gomez has reportedly decided that he wants to join West Ham United.
Sky Sports have reported that the Celta Vigo hitman would prefer a move to East London over Valencia, who can’t finance the £29 million needed to sign him.
Gomez to West Ham is turning into a major saga at this point and although personal terms are yet to be agreed, a move to Manuel Pellegrini’s side seems to be inching closer.
Here’s how the Hammers fans reacted to Sky Sports‘ development:
There have been false dawns in regards to the Uruguayan striker in the past, so no United fan will be taking this latest update as gospel.
That being said, you can’t blame the West Ham faithful for being excited at the same time. They have already spent £24 million on Pablo Fornals and to spend even more on a player like Gomez is definitely exciting.
Pellegrini has signed three new players this summer – Roberto, David Martin and Fornals, the pick of the bunch.
If Gomez doesn’t materialise then the East Londoners have other irons in the fire, in the form of Salomon Rondon and Moussa Marega.
