West Ham fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports coming out of Spanish newspaper Marca on Monday which suggested that the Hammers are plotting a summer approach for Marco Silva – and interestingly, the reaction amongst the supporters is mixed.

The Irons go into the final part of the season in an alarming position in the Premier League. They sit just one place and two points above the bottom three and will fall into the relegation zone if they lose at home to Southampton at the weekend.

The situation boiled over during their last game and Moyes will be desperately hoping to end their recent run of defeats that has left them, and seemingly himself, in an incredibly precarious situation.

Marca reported earlier this week that the West Ham hierarchy are eyeing a potential approach for Silva – who is out of work having been sacked by Watford earlier in the campaign.

Silva’s time in England has been somewhat bizarre. Despite being relegated with Hull City last season, his reputation going into this season had been enhanced – and being sacked by Watford seemed to do little to hurt his stock.

It should perhaps be little surprise therefore, that the links with Silva have been met with a mixed response amongst the supporters, with some feeling that he is the perfect manager to get the club back on track.

However, others are nowhere near as convinced about the 40-year-old and do not feel that he is the right man to take the side forward about such a disappointing campaign.

Here is the best of the reaction…
