The West Ham United manager was bitterly disappointed with his side’s defeat to Cardiff City on Saturday.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini bemoaned his side’s poor performances away from home after their defeat to Cardiff, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in response to the Chilean’s comments.
The 65-year-old told reporters how he is at a loss to explain his side’s troubles on the road, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“Maybe [it is getting into the players’ heads] and that’s why we need to talk to them during the week. It’s not normal that in four of the last five away games, we lost and didn’t score against Wolverhampton, Bournemouth, Manchester City and again on Saturday. That’s a lot of games we cannot score.”
Pellegrini has chosen not to start Mark Arnautovic for the past few games, and many West Ham fans believe that that has been a huge mistake from the experienced coach.
He clearly has a lot of work to do, if he is to guide his Hammers side into the top seven come the end of the season.
The east London outfit have only won four games away from home all season long – a statistic that speaks for itself.
Some West Ham fans took to Twitter today, and criticised the former Manchester City boss, suggesting that he needs to pick his best XI, if his side are to arrest their concerning dip in form away from home.
