West Ham United threw away a 1-0 lead on Saturday evening, as they were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United.
David Moyes’ side were superb in the first half, and took the lead when Tomas Soucek tapped in Declan Rice’s near-post flick-on.
The Hammers couldn’t find a second goal though, with Sebastien Haller losing his footing with the goal at his mercy whilst Jarrod Bowen missed from close-range.
West Ham were made to pay for their profligacy, as Paul Pogba fired an equaliser and Mason Greenwood quickly smashed United in front.
Marcus Rashford raced clear to add a third, with United producing a rampant second half performance to claim all three points.
Hammers fans will understandably feel a little disappointed to see the second half collapse, but there were some positives – and the performance of Jarrod Bowen was one of them.

Bowen was a menace, especially in the first half, notching two key passes, two successful dribbles, two interceptions and one tackle in an all-round display.
A goal would have sealed his fine showing, but Hammers fans praised him for an ‘incredible’ and ‘brilliant’ display, anointing him as West Ham’s best player whilst hoping they can keep him under the radar, away from other clubs.
