West Ham United beat Manchester United 2-0 this afternoon.

West Ham United continued their fine recent form on Sunday afternoon by comfortably easing past Manchester United with a 2-0 win at the London Stadium.
The Hammers went into the game having been four games unbeaten with two clean sheets in a row, and both of those runs have now been extended.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side had to dig in a little early on, but eventually look the lead as a smart pass from Felipe Anderson found Andriy Yarmolenko, who buried his left-footed strike.
United were dealt a blow when Marcus Rashford was taken off with an injury, and with little attacking threat left, West Ham were able to ease through the latter stages as Aaron Cresswell curled a superb free kick into the top corner.
West Ham have now kept a third straight clean sheet in the Premier League, and sit inside the top five, only bumped out of the top four by Arsenal’s late win over Aston Villa.
A number of players impressed for West Ham, but defender Issa Diop particularly impressed, shackling United’s attackers – including Rashford – with a dominant performance.

Diop, 22, was linked with a £60million move to Manchester United over the summer (Sky Sports), and he really impressed against the Red Devils, who may be wishing they had signed him.
West Ham fans took to Twitter to hail the Frenchman, suggesting that he’s so good that it’s ‘not fair on the opposition’, with others praising him as ‘immense’ and ‘magnificent’.
