West Ham United secured a point against Chelsea, and Fabian Balbuena was superb in the draw.

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to laud Fabian Balbuena after the defender’s superb performance in the goalless draw with Chelsea at the London Stadium on Sunday.
The Hammers followed their first win of the season at Everton last weekend with a point against the Blues, who went into the contest having not dropped a single point in the top flight this term.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men provided another indication that they have turned a corner after their dreadful start as they defended superbly and arguably had the best chance of the game, with Andriy Yarmolenko putting his header wide late on.
Yarmolenko may be kicking himself, but Balbuena will be one of the West Ham players who should feel delighted with his performance. The Paraguay international was superb, helping to keep the Chelsea attack quiet for much of the contest.

On social media, many West Ham fans are adamant that the 27-year-old was the man of the match and believe that the £3.5 million that the club paid to sign him in the summer – fee reported by the Daily Star – is already proving to be an absolute steal.
West Ham certainly look a lot more difficult to break down than they did in the opening weeks of the season, and Balbuena adapting to the Premier League appears to be one of the key reasons for their improvement.

Here is what some of the West Ham fans made of Balbuena’s display against Chelsea…
