Edimilson Fernandes has officially left West Ham United on a permanent transfer.

West Ham United have announced the sale of Edimilson Fernandes to FC Mainz in Germany [official site].
The Irons signed Edimilson for £5.5 million in 2016 during Slaven Bilic’s reign [The Guardian].
But Manuel Pellegrini loaned him to Fiorentina last season, where he impressed in Italy.
The 23-year-old managed 42 Premier League appearances during his three-year stay on the Hammers’ books.
Today, he was sold for an undisclosed amount in a decision which hasn’t gone down well with West Ham fans.
You can understand their frustration.
The Swiss midfielder, who joined from Sion, might be the most reliable player out of Jack Wilshere and Pedro Obiang, both of whom remain in East London.
Wilshere, in particular, only made a handful appearances in what was an injury-hit first season with West Ham.
Edimilson will absolutely get better, given he’s only 23, and when he does there’ll be no hiding place for the Irons’ hierarchy.
