West Ham United narrowly lost to Arsenal in the EFL Cup this week.

West Ham United headed into their EFL Cup quarter-final against Arsenal knowing they had a good chance of reaching the last four of the competition and giving their previously disappointing season another huge boost following their resurgence under new boss David Moyes.
Unfortunately for the Hammers, a Danny Welbeck goal was enough to give Arsenal all three points, leaving West Ham to focus on moving further away from the Premier League drop zone in the months ahead.

It was a disappointing night for West Ham but there were some positives to be had, not least the sight of youngster Domingos Quina getting a rare run-out and the continuing good form of fellow teenager Declan Rice.
The latter has impressed since he has come into the Hammers’s senior side and he looks to have a very bright future at the London Stadium.

West Ham supporters have been crying out for youth to be given a chance for quite some time, with the club possessing some of the best teenage talent in the country, and they are finally getting their wish under Moyes.
