West Ham United fans have questioned David Moyes over comments he made to the club’s official website today.
The Scottish manager claimed that West Ham’s next two games could define their Premier League season, but what puzzled fans of the East London club is what came after that prediction.
The Irons now have two home games against Burnley and Southampton to come, and Moyes suggested that his side can take heart in knowing that the next two games are very winnable.
He said: “The next two games could define the season. We’ve got games now that we know we can get something from.”
But United slumped to a shock 4-1 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday in what also represented a possible three points for the visitors, given that the Swans were in the relegation zone prior to kickoff.
And West Ham supporters have questioned why their team should be confident about beating the likes of Burnley or Southampton after being demolished by the South Wales side.
