The West Ham United youngster will spend the second half of the season away on loan in the Bundesliga.

Reece Oxford has joined Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg on loan for the rest of the season, as confirmed by the club’s official website, and some West Ham fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene with the Hammers in August 2016, when he bossed the game against Arsenal at just 16 years of age.
Oxford has quite literally fallen off the map ever since then, however, making just three Premier League starts, and spending three separate loan spells (now four) away from the London Stadium.
Allowing Oxford to leave has left West Ham rather short at the back, however, with Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna the only two fit centre-backs.

Declan Rice can play there, of course, and unless Manuel Pellegrini makes any late signings, there is a real chance that the 20-year-old will have to be utilised in defence.
West Ham fans took to Twitter and reacted in unison to Oxford’s departure to Germany…
